Anthony is a songwriter of rare talent and an acknowledged prodigy on the guitar. He has had more than four-hundred songs published including hits for Steve Winwood, Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers, Dwight Yoakam, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Having toured the world with Neil Young, Gill, Yoakam, Winwood, his own band “Blackhawk”—even playing with Paul McCartney onstage at Hyde Park–Anthony has finally settled on the Gulf Coast with the woman of his dreams.
A former session artist in Nashville, Savana Lee sings with the voice of an angel while deftly applying her skills to the ukulele, bass, and rhythm guitar. It was at the famous Deepfield Studio where she and Anthony first met. Ten years later, they were married.
Today, the husband and wife duo–performing as Sugarcane Jane–has amassed an extremely loyal following by producing some of the freshest vocal harmonies heard in decades. Anthony and Savana Lee Crawford create what they proudly call “Organic Music.” Rich, homegrown, and natural, their brand of Americana draws from a deep well of roots influences, interwoven with inflections of gospel, country, jazz, and rock.
