I know, I know! The Disney-Pixar film The Incredibles taught us, “If EVERYbody’s special, then NO body is!”

Hmm. There’s a sense in which that’s true. If everyone gets a prize all the way down to 13th place out of 13 participants, it kinda takes the shine off of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. It even makes last place a little more awkward, doesn’t it?

But on the flip side, literally every one of us really is unique—special! Each person carries a rare, extraordinary blend of YOUness.

No one has your particular mix of humor.
No one has your exact brand of genius.
No one cares like you do.
No one plans like you.
No one accomplishes what you do.

Sure, everybody else is their own amazing, exceptional, marvelous self, too—but they’re not you!

Don’t be embarrassed to think about what makes you tick… what makes you you. Knowing who you are makes you better at what you do. Notice, observe, appreciate the you that has never been before—and will never walk this earth again once you’re gone.
