Today’s society in which we live tends to excuse all forms of bad behavior.  There are now highly educated professionals who are actually referring to gossip as a ‘social skill’?

According to some of the largest news outlets, gossip has gone from a negative to a behavior that is keeping social circles together.

That may well be, but a wise person might question whether or not all social circles should stay together.  Hell’s Angels and the Ku Klux Klan are social circles.

TMZ is the modern version of The National Enquirer.  TMZ is the largest wholesaler of exploitative articles about people’s personal lives.

Celebrities, scientists, authors, and pretty much anyone in the limelight is targeted by TMZ.  The media giant spreads rumors, and exploits personal issues of people they recognize as having renown, all the while, never considering what the lasting effect of their rumors might be.  

The point is, gossip of any kind is never helpful, and it’s usually hurtful.

So avoid it.  Simply refuse to participate.  And always live your life in such a way that you wouldn’t mind giving your parrot to the town gossip…
