Peace of Wisdom

Uncharted Waters

By Andy Andrews

Have you ever taken a leap of faith?

Have you ever taken a chance on something without knowing what the exact outcome would be?

Navigating uncharted waters can be scary, but you can get the most out of the experience (whether it’s successful or not) by doing a few specific things!

Keep your eyes open. Learn everything you can. Keep notes about the things you learn and the contacts you meet.

Listen and observe more than you talk. When we talk we’re only repeating what we already know– when we listen we can learn something new!

Be ‘okay’ with being bad at something. If you’re starting a new business, learning to ski, or making a massive career change–accept that you’re not going to be perfect!

Anyone who is great at something was once a beginner. Try to enjoy the process of developing a new skill or project!

Keep an open-mind and be open to all avenues and solutions.

Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in keeping your cool in uncharted waters.
