Sound Decisions

By Andy Andrews

Making a decision that will change you or your family’s life in any way can be scary! Wondering if you made the right decision is a feeling everyone can understand.

There are a few things you can do to make the best choice possible!

Knowledge is power, so take that power into your own hands. Research multiple solutions, talk to professionals in that industry, run some tests and calculations of your own!

Don’t make a long-term decision to quell a short-term problem. You don’t eat poisonous mushrooms because you’re hungry!

Try to take the emotion out of your decision and be an observer of the situation. What’s the smartest thing to do?

When you think you know your plan of action, find the drawbacks of it! Try to see the plan’s faults.

This is a good way to test the soundness of your decision. You can only know the strength of your choice if you challenge it! It can also help you parce out the risk of each option.

The thing is you can never really know if you’re making the right decision. At some point, after research and reflection you have to choose. After all, not choosing is still a choice.

Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in embracing change and weighing your options to make sound decisions.
