Large Shirus bull moose feeding along the river bank in late summer in the Teton National Park. I found him first resting near the bank and as the sun was setting he crossed the river heading west. I circled around and walked in the river to get a backlit shot of the light racking the velvet on his antlers.

Owls are cool to photograph when you can find them. This Great Horned owl is telling me that he knows something that I don’t. That happens often in my world.

These three Shiras Bull Moose decided to find out who was in charge while I was taking individual shots of them one fall morning in The Teton National Park. The fight didn't last long and no blood was shed.

Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep are built to handle the winters in Wyoming. The rams are always on guard for another ram attempting to take away his ladies.

I could see the family of Grizzlies on the south side of the Snake River searching for food in the morning fog. I anticipated them crossing the river and set up down river a ways. Sure enough they swam the river as the sun was just rising over mountains.

This Red Fox was taking a break after his morning breakfast run, just outside the boundary’s of the Teton National Park in Wyoming.

While searching for wildlife to photograph, you never know what you’ll find. This juvenile Porcupine was just hanging out taking a rest off the ground for safety sake. I don’t see them often so I spent some time swatting mosquitoes and waiting for him to open his eyes.

In Wyoming, bison persist in the harshest lower 48 location. I was fortunate to capture this herd moving south towards the lower valley for easier food access with less snow. With 3-6 feet of snow, they walk on the roads to conserve energy.

On the constant search for food. This Grizzly bear family is constantly on the move during the fall months near Jackson Hole Wyoming preparing for the long months of hibernation. I was in the Teton National Park that morning when I was able to somewhat forecast their movements and was able to capture this with the 150-600mm w/1.6 extension.

Chasing the Milky Way during a meteor shower... This is Mount Moran in the Teton National Park in Wyoming. After being up all day guiding clients, I decided to see if I could find a location to capture the night sky. It took the Milky Way most of the night to get in line with mountain and this leaning tree on Jackson Lake. It was 4:30am, but I’m happy to lose some sleep now and again.
