Peace of Wisdom

A Good Squeeze

By Andy Andrews

Do you enjoy a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice? I sure do. Or freshly squeezed pineapple juice?  When you crush fruit, its best flavors are released—unless it’s rotten.

Humans are a lot like fruit. When we’re pressed for time, our adrenaline kicks in, often leading us to produce some of our best work.

There’s nothing like a good squeeze! A tight hug can have a healing effect. Of course, when your Great Aunt hugs you so tightly you can’t breathe… well, that’s another story!

Under intense pressure, diamonds form. But sometimes, bombs explode. It all depends on what’s inside.

For good things to come out of us during tough times, good things must first go in. It’s wise to read daily encouragement and listen to “pieces of wisdom.” These words fill our minds and hearts with knowledge, courage, patience, and empathy for others. So, when we find ourselves under life’s inevitable pressures, we’re less likely to spew the negative and more likely to produce the positive.

Today’s “Peace of Wisdom” can be found when we maintain a daily intake of good things.
