“Clutter”, “unorganized”, “chaos”, “messy…” We can easily picture these words. Sometimes we can feel them, too, because we LIVE them.
You don’t really have to become an organization expert to overcome the consequences that come with disorder. Often, if we can make ourselves take just a few minutes to declutter, organize, refresh, and get rid of some things, we won’t feel so overwhelmed.
Pick a small task that’ll yield big results and give yourself some necessary visual and inner peace.
- Get rid of the unused treadmill or the giant stuffed animal collecting dust in the corner.
- Straighten your desk.
- Clean out just one drawer.
- Collect similar items in one basket or bin.
- Empty the dishwasher.
- Discard items that are broken or don’t work.
- Take out the trash.
Do one task like these each day, or a few on the weekend, to help reign in the chaos and stay organized.
Today’s “Peace of Wisdom” can be found when you tackle the mess.
