Have you ever been described as gentle?
Personally, when I think of the word “gentle,” I think of Winnie the Pooh.
Did you know that Winnie the Pooh was created by author Alan Alexander Milne after one of his son’s toys?
It’s true. Winnie, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, and all the magical creatures from the Hundred Acre wood were the product of a father’s love for his son…whose name, by the way, was Christopher Robin.
Almost 100 years later, the gentle words that have inspired millions are still as inspiring as ever.
For example:
Pooh Bear, in his infinite wisdom, said “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
You like that? How about when Eeyore said, “A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference.”
We can learn a lot from the friends of Christopher Robin who live in the Hundred Acre wood.
We’d do well to remember that a soft touch along with an understanding of others can reach people when nothing else works.
Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in the calm produced by a gentle spirit.
