Where do you go to find meaning? Is it a place you visit? When you go there, do you find what you’re looking for?
Many find themselves disappointed when chasing the elusive answer to the question “Where do I find meaning and what is my purpose?”
Instead of looking at it like a puzzling question – or a place you have to physically go, why don’t we look at it as a statement of fact: your purpose comes from meaning.
Think of it like this – You can find purpose by creating meaning in your everyday life.
When you’re interacting with someone you care about, don’t just small talk about the usual stuff – dive deeper!
Invite them over for dinner, take them somewhere special, babysit their kids so they can have a date night with their spouse – create meaningful experiences.
After adopting this practice, you’ll find yourself manufacturing your purpose wherever you go, creating joy for everyone around you, be it friends, family, or complete strangers.
By bringing joy to others, you will discover your purpose.
Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in the purpose you create for yourself.
