When was the last time you felt overwhelmed?
Maybe a better question is—when was the last time you didn’t?
Between emails, texts, voicemails, breaking news, and endless social media feeds, overwhelm isn’t an occasional visitor anymore (overwhelmness? Overwhelmosity?) Any way—it’s a constant companion.
Now, when a Wisdom Harbour alert shows up, the goal is for you to feel peace—not panic.
Life brings enough stress on its own. We don’t need to invite more in. And while some stress is unavoidable, a lot of what drains us is optional. We just have to be willing to ignore it.
Take social media. I enjoy it—it can be fun and helpful. But scroll long enough, and it becomes a black hole of noise. Posts, videos, opinions… it never ends. I’m learning to stop sooner. I don’t need to finish the thread. I don’t need to keep scrolling. I don’t need to know everything.
Email’s the same way. My inbox fills up with more ads and newsletters than I’ll ever read. So I’ve started deleting more—and feeling better. Not everything deserves our time and attention.
Today’s “Peace of Wisdom” can be found when we’re selective about what we let in… and brave enough to hit delete on the rest.
