What word would people use to describe you?
Is it positive or negative?
Most of us would probably say we hope to be described with kind words — to leave a pleasant impact, a beneficial legacy.
And chances are, when we pass away, there will be good things said. But have you ever considered what you hope will be said… specifically?
A friend of mine has chosen a word she hopes others will use to describe her. Just one. Not a generic compliment, but a specific word that reflects the way she wants to live.
Her word is delightful.
The word “delight” dates back at least to the 13th century. To be full of delight is to be full of pleasure… to be joyous… a source of light.
She’s set a beautiful goal — and she knows that if she wants to be remembered as delightful, she has to live that way now.
So… what’s the one word you would like others to say about you?
Today’s “Peace of Wisdom” can be found in choosing a specific word to define — and direct — your life.
