Peace of Wisdom
Reliability

By Andy Andrews

I don’t know about you, but I hate being late. If I say I’m going to be somewhere at a specific time, I want to actually be there early, when possible.  My daddy called it Bear Bryant time.  If you ain’t five minutes early, you’re late.

Have you ever heard the old adage, “say what you mean and mean what you say?”

Reliability is an important quality. It lets others know that you value their time. Sure, accidents happen that make us late, or force us to change our plans at the last minute, but that shouldn’t be the norm.  And you can always call…

Your workplace is important, too.  My old friend Zig Ziglar once said, “Ability is important in our quest for success, but dependability is critical.”

We may be the best at what we do, but if the team around us can’t depend on us to show up when we say we’ll be there… How can they depend on us in other areas of performance?

I’m Andy Andrews…today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in consistently honoring your word.
