Peace of Wisdom
Time Management

By Andy Andrews

Do you struggle with time management, always wishing you had a few extra hours in your day? Most of us do – we’re much too busy, and often way too distracted.

It’s a good idea to take a step back and consider how you order your days – or if you’re allowing someone or something else to order them.

Greek philosopher Theophrastus declared, “The waste of time is the most extravagant and costly of all expenses.”

J.R.R. Tolkien apparently agreed.  He said, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

Our time on earth is a gift to be used wisely … none of us want to squander our words, thoughts, or actions.

Time isn’t something we can recover. We’re each given 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Yep, we are all given the same amount of time…until time runs out.  And none of us knows when that might be.   So…we can waste time…or use the time we have to make a difference.

Consider that even the simplest action you take matters beyond measure – and matters forever.

How will you use the time you’ve been given?

Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in treasuring the gift of time.
