Peace of Wisdom
Intentions

By Andy Andrews

Being intentional can help you reconnect with yourself. It can be a powerful tool for bringing about positive changes in your life.

But how do you live an intentional life?

First, become clear on what you desire, ensuring it aligns with your priorities and values. Consider phrasing your intention positively, focusing on what you want to create rather than what you want to avoid.

For example, instead of  “I don’t want to be stressed,” say “I would like to feel relaxed.” … make it specific! The more specific, the easier it is to focus on the results you desire. Rather than “I want to be healthier,” try “I will get 30 minutes of exercise today.”

Once you’ve decided what you will become intentional about, visualize it! Maintain your focus by visualizing yourself achieving your desired result every day.

Then, ACT! Action will turn your intentions into reality. You may not accomplish everything today, so remember that becoming intentional is a process, not a one-time event. Revise your objectives, and adjust your actions as needed. Be patient and don’t forget to celebrate your progress.

Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in becoming intentional.
