Peace of Wisdom
Life in Boxes

By Andy Andrews

Do you remember the last time you moved out of one place and into another? Maybe it’s when you left home for the first time.

As you packed, did you notice that everything in your house was a reflection of yourself? Your life, a physical representation, was literally being stored in boxes.

You categorized, sorted, and moved it all around to see if you needed to get rid of some things.

It’s not just last year’s magazines or an old appliance you were given as a wedding gift that are taking up space.  Sometimes, it’s the people, too.

You may not think about it a lot, but if you pay attention, you can see the thinking of others reflected in your own actions.  Are the choices you are making wise ones? How was that decision made?  What viewpoints do you now claim that were not intended to be a part of the YOU you’d imagined for so long?

Is it time to pack up your stuff?   If only for the purpose of examining what you’ve accumulated over the years? Just like all those boxes you have packed?

Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found in reflections of your life.
