When we were kids, people asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” It was a fun question with simple answers—an astronaut, a teacher, or maybe even a superhero. But as adults, maybe the better question is, “Who are you becoming?”
Every day, we’re shaping who we are through our choices, actions, and interactions. As Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
These daily decisions define the person we’re becoming, one at a time. Are you becoming someone known for kindness, integrity, or resilience? Someone others can trust and rely on? Maybe you want to be known as someone who’s willing to take risks, offer a helping hand, or push forward when things get tough.
It’s not about titles or labels. It’s about the qualities you live out in everyday moments, big and small, that build the foundation of who you’re becoming.
The power to decide who you’ll become rests in your hands. So, take a step back and consider the choices you’re making right now. Are they leading you toward becoming the person you want to be?
Today’s Peace of Wisdom can be found by considering who you’re becoming.
