I think that bar begins to shift in adolescence. It’s a moving target depending on what’s going on in their lives. But in adolescents, chores become a more obvious part of their life. When a child is a teenager, then there is much more focus on what they earn.
How can I get my spouse interested in personal growth?
The very best thing you can do, is to raise the level of your game as a spouse. Our husbands, our wives, they watch us like hawks. They sense what’s happening. When you raised the level of your game, there is something that is noticed.

Yes, it does occasionally. I think if you can choose wisely when you’re choosing a personal board of directors. And you’re choosing these people, you’re finding these people who are better than you are, who have more, who have greater results than you have in certain areas of your life.
Does watching movies with your children provide opportunities to discuss societal topics, or is it merely entertainment?
I think that that watching movies with your children can be entertainment, but I think any type of entertainment can also be used to advance the course of wisdom, advanced of course of knowledge, information. And I really believe that watching movies with your children can really provide a ton of conversation.
What is the purpose of a personal board of directors and why is it important?
A personal board of directors can keep you headed in the direction you said you wanted to go. When you’re thinking was very clear. Your vision for your future was very clear. The personal board of directors, even when your vision gets clouded, even when you’re tired, a personal board of directors can keep you on task.
My mother told me money did not grow on trees. Was she correct?
Was she correct? Of course, she was correct. Your mother was right about everything. Does money grew on trees? No, it does not. But I’ll tell you this, money can float out of thin air. You can make money appear to come from nothing.

We’ve talked before about individual cultures – every business has a culture, every family has a culture. And of course, every city has their culture too. Does your city have a culture? Yes, it does.
How do I stay relevant as a parent to my child who is 34 years old?
It all starts with value. You stay relevant by being valuable. You know, your child is an adult. This is a 34 year old human being. And, and the decisions you’re child is making our adult decisions and they’re making adult decisions about where they spend their time and who they spend their time with and, and who they listen to and who they don’t listen to and who they seek out for help and who they don’t.
Do businesses have their own culture?
Absolutely. Businesses have their own culture. Businesses have their own culture, families have their own culture, a teams have their own culture, towns, communities, neighborhoods have their own culture. And so when you think about it, of course businesses have their own culture.
